Lake Advisory 3/27/20

Okay! We’ve been at this for two weeks now. Tomorrow marks three weeks since we made the shift in our Worship Gatherings at Lake Community Church on Sunday mornings to Online LiveStream Worship Gatherings. It’s a been quite a roller-coaster to say the least. A lot of trial and error attempts at providing The Lake family/community with as “close as we can get” to being together in worship and prayer with an Online experience.

Our Worship and Production Team have been working all week to prepare for this coming Sunday’s Worship Gathering, and I am excited about all the resources and consulting they have been taking advantage of this week. I believe we are set for another round of our Lake Worship Gathering Online this Sunday at 10:00am.

Like last week, you will be able to access our LiveStream Worship Gathering by using our website:, where you will see a card on the Home page titled Lake Church Online. Simply click that card and you’re set to join us for worship Sunday morning at 10:00am. You can also access our LakeLiveStream by clicking LakeCC and it will take you to our Worship Gathering as well. If you are already on our Lake Community Church Facebook Page, you will be able to join our Worship Gathering at 10:00am.

I do hope you can join us this Sunday at 10:00am, and if you wouldn’t mind; could you please let us know you’re worshipping with us. Give us a “Like”, or a “Thumbs Up” or “Heart” emoji; even leave a Comment saying “Hey! Welcome to The Lake!” I know it’s not the same as a handshake, high-five, or hug, but it is a connection that, not only us, but others will see and possible respond back. And, you never know who might respond. Last Sunday we had viewers from Paraguay, India, and a Military base in the Middle East.

I have had a few people ask about how the church is doing with not being able to pass the basket for your offerings on Sunday morning. I know there are some who like the thoughts of placing their tithe, their offering, in a basket as it passes by. And, if you’re waiting until we can all be together again to do that, then we’ll see you that Sunday.
If you have never really tried to give online, then during this season of social-distancing-church-attendance, why not give it a try. You can still Give Online at You can do a one-time gift, or setup a recurring draft from your bank account. Simply clicking on the blue circle in the lower right corner of our website, and follow the instructions. It’s quick and it’s simple. You’ll receive a confirmation email for all transactions. You can also still make your contribution, tithe, offering by texting your gift to 84321 on your smartphone. Follow those directions and continue to support Lake Community Church through this season. Hey, you can still mail a tithe, offering to Lake Community Church, 7800 Bringle Ferry Rd. Salisbury, NC 28146

Let me go ahead and thank everyone who had contacted us at the office to see how we’re doing; everyone who continues to serve through our Facilities Team each week to keep our building clean and sanitary; to our Connection Groups, Lake Kids, and Lake Students that are still finding unique ways to meet together; and, for everyone’s continued prayers and support. Yes, we are in this together and it seems to be more evident now than ever.

Please believe me when I say I know how difficult it is to not be able to attend The Lake on Sunday mornings and worship along with your family and friends. I miss you all, but I also know that we will get through this, and when are able to come back together as a united family of worshippers, I’m not too sure if we’ll be able to handle it. (if you know what I mean) God is still moving among His children, and His promise to always be with us is helping so many of us at this time.

Upcoming events at The Lake:

“Against All Odds”
This Sunday, at 10:00am, we continue with our teaching series, “Against All Odds.” And, like last week, this Sunday’s Worship Gathering will be “Online” only. I don’t like asking folks to stay at home instead of coming to church, but to do all we can to help “flatten the curve”, I’m asking you to join us this Sunday from the comfort of your home, with your family as we look at only one prophecy from Isaiah; not another long list like last week. But this one prophecy means so much to us as believers; that Jesus would do this one thing for us, and do it “Against All Odds.” Join us this Sunday at 10:00am and invite some friends by “Sharing” our LiveStream to your personal social media page.
