Lake Advisory 6/19/2020

This Sunday, June 21st, Father’s Day, Summer Solstice; the first day of summer, the longest day of the year, The Lake Re-opens! All the planning…all the preparations…all the anticipation…all the prayers…and more prayers…have been leading to this day. The Training Sessions for all our Lake Kids Volunteers and Guest Services Volunteers has been completed. The building has been set up, cleaned and sanitized for all our guests this Sunday. Volunteers will be wearing masks when you arrive and as you leave. They will have had their temperatures checked when they arrive early Sunday, and Lake Kids will also be checking every child’s temperature when families check them into Lake Kids. I’m sure, if you have a child in Lake Kids, you’ve seen Amanda’s video of what all will take place in Lake Kids this first Sunday back. If not, it can be found in Lake Kids section below.

If I were have one ask of everyone who attends this Sunday, at 9:30 or 11:00am…please be patient as we do our best to ensure your safety while at The Lake. Please remember:

Restrooms will be open but we request only 2-3 people in there at a time.
Seating is “LIMITED”, so please allow Guest Services Volunteers to help find adequate seating for you and your family. Preferably, seating would fill in front to back.

Dismissal will begin with back rows and gradully move toward the front rows to eliminate congestion.

Again, I look forward to being able to worship with you this coming Sunday. I only pray that we will all be able to worship together at The Lake very soon. Until then, I pray God continues to keep you safe and protected, and that as His time permits, we will be together again.

If you have any hesitations at all about being in a crowd of people; even if it is a church service, then please join us online this Sunday at 9:30 or 11:00am at Lake Live Online.

Upcoming events at The Lake:

“Recalculating”
This Sunday is week 3 of our current teaching series, “Recalculating.” We’ve discussed how people will often make plans for their future without even considering God’s will for their future; doing what they want to do without including God’s will in their decision making. Last week, we discussed what we should do if God were to place a divine roadblock in our path as we prepare to continue doing what we feel He wants us to do. But, what do we do when the reason for a change in plans is all the result of our own actions; that we are the cause for our plans changing? We learn a lot from Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples; one of the more outspoken disciples, as we answer this question. Join us this Sunday at 9:30 and 11:00am at Lake Community Church and at Lake Live Online for week 3 of “Recalculating.”
