I’m sure most of you know about the uncertainty of children going back to school this fall; virtual; In-person; A days, B days…but, one thing is certain from my conversations with the Principal at Morgan Elementary School; if, when, and how the students return to school, things will not be like they were before. More and more precautions will be in place and practiced; not only by the students, but teachers and staff as well.
And, when these students return, many are going to need school supplies; whether that is for the first day of the year, or later in the year. Some parents will be able to provide all their student needs for school, but there are also those students who rely on their school to provide those needed supplies. Even though there has been so much uncertainty about schools opening, Morgan Elementary would like to be as prepared as possible for their students this year.
That’s where we, as Lake Community Church, come in. I have attached a Supply List from Morgan Elementary School below. Yes, I know this is a short time frame, but again, the uncertainty has its drawbacks. If you can help with any of these items on the list, we will begin to collect these items this Sunday. There will be a table located outside, with a plastic tub to collect any items you would like to donate to Morgan Elementary.
Also, you may bring your items by The Lake next week; Tuesday – Friday; 9:30am to 4:30pm. Again, a table will be set up outside for you to simply drive up and drop off your items. If you want to leave your items in a bag, or box, just place the bag or box in the plastic tub. These tubs will be delivered to Morgan School on Friday, August 7th.
Again, I apologize for only being able to offer this outreach opportunity for one week, but this will greatly help the school provide much needed supplies for when their students return. Thank you all in advance for your help in making a difference in the life of a student.
