Thank You

Two simple words…Thank You. Yet, sometimes we don’t think about the impact they can have on someone’s life, so we may not think about how little we use these two simple words. Today, I would like to use them to the fullest.

“Thank You” to all our frontline warriors! We read about them on social media, and e see them on the news. These warriors on those doctors and nurses, medics and 1st responders, home health providers, who deal with the coronavirus pandemic on a daily basis; placing themselves in the middle of the battle; doing all they can to help care for those struggling in their fight against the virus; and, trying to protect themselves and their families at the same time.

“Thank You” to those in our Lake Community Church family who are among these frontline warriors:

Rhonda Smith (Novant-Rowan)
Talley Rakes (Novant-Rowan)
Jessica Broadway (Novant-Rowan, Respiratory Therapist)
Noel Hawkins (Atrium-NEMC)
Jodi Hedrick (Wake Forest-Lexington)
Ashlyn Troutman (VA-Salisbury)
Dr. Valerie Rakes (Catawba College Nursing Director and Field Volunteer)
LeeAnne Frye, NP (Novant-Rockwell)
Lisa Connor (Novant-Rockwell)
Candice Miller (Bayada Home Health Care)
Savannah Haney (TenderHearted Home Care)
Terrie Powles (LPN)
Tracy Goins (Lake Norman Regional Medical Center)
Shannon Carter (Novant-Granite Quarry)
Ashley Brooks (Nurse at Rowan County Health Dept)
Sharon Graves (Hospice and Palliative Care Cabarrus County)
Emily Shepherd (Carolina Oncology)
Chris Dunbar (Salisbury-VA)
Rivka Darwactor (Salisbury-VA)
Scott Dougherty (Salisbury-VA)
(If I have overlooked anyone from The Lake that should be on this list, please let me know. I apologize if I did. These names were sent to me in a previous request)

These are folks who are part of Lake Community Church who need to be thanked on a regular basis for all they are facing each day. I know their families and friends are proud of them, and I know The Lake is proud of them as well. I would ask everyone who attends The Lake to be in prayer for all these frontline warriors, their families, and their co-workers during this pandemic; that God would protect them and keep them safe as they serve others so selflessly; and that we, as the body of Christ, would encourage them every chance we get.

“Thank you all! for your faithful work, loving deeds, and enduring hope. (1 Thessalonians 1:3)
